What is Hypnotherapy

Why use hypnotherapy?

eye with question markHypnotherapy can help an individual to identify and resolve a range of emotional or psychosomatic problems. It is effective in helping people deal with the effects of negative experiences that may have been experienced in adulthood or childhood.

Typically, the effects of these negative experiences can cause emotional or social behavioural problems, which may be difficult for a person to manage and can inhibit their progress, either socially or at work.

What to expect

Hypnotherapist Diana Hobbs has long since believed in straight talking. Your initial consultation, lasting approximately 20 minutes, is free, and takes place at her consulting rooms near Guildford in Surrey.

During this consultation your problem will be discussed and the process of hypnotherapy will be explained. You will also be given plenty of opportunity to ask any questions you may have and no question is viewed as ‘silly’. Hypnotherapist Diana will then explain how your problem will be resolved. Should she feel she cannot help you, she will tell you.

Actual sessions of hypnotherapy each run for one hour.

Clients come for Hypnotherapy from Guildford, Woking, Farnham, Bracknell, Esher, Cobham, Walton-on-Thames, Godalming, Cranleigh – in fact, anywhere in the South East.

How does hypnotherapy work?

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to help calm the conscious mind and allow the subconscious mind to move into a heightened state of awareness. In this extremely relaxed state the subconscious mind comes to the fore and any negative thoughts or beliefs, which are inhibiting a person’s progress in everyday life, can be identified, updated or off-loaded.

Hypnotherapy is a relaxed and painless experience and is now recognised by a large section of the medical profession as an effective means of resolving a wide range of emotional and psychosomatic problems.
